Handed Over Virus Detection Kits (LAMP)
To support the NTT Government in efforts to restore the pig farming sector, the Australian Government, through AIHSP and PRISMA, handed over an African Swine Fever (ASF) virus detection kit to the Vice Governor of NTT, Dr. Drs. Josef Nae Soi, M.M, at the NTT Governor's Office in Kupang today, Tuesday, 7 February 2023. Valued at IDR 1.4 billion, the Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) diagnostic tool, and related reagents delivered as part of the package, can detect ASF virus in pigs. It is hoped that this tool will support the NTT Government in efforts to recover the pig sector in the NTT Province because diagnosis confirmation can be made more quickly, and control measures can be taken immediately
