What we do

The AIHSP is a flexible program and is able to support a range of activities selected and updated based on emerging issues.

The program's work is categorized under six thematic areas:

Policy
Policies and procedures for health emergencies and coordination between ministries, agencies and external organizations

Communities
Policies, procedures, and coordination mechanisms for health security preparedness and response at the sub-national level.

Information
Ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of disease surveillance systems and information systems.

Facilities
Improvements to the capacity and capability of Indonesian laboratories in detecting emerging infectious diseases and zoonoses.

People
Training programs and other skills development initiatives to improve the capacity of Indonesia's epidemiological workforce (public health and animal health).

Products
Development of new drugs, diagnostics and vector control tools.

All the activities undertaken by the AIHSP explicitly adopt either a targeted or holistic approach to gender equality, disability ad social inclusion.
