Delivering COVID-19 Vaccinations Door-to-door in Several Villages in Maros District

23 September 2022. The team from the Last-Mile COVID-19 Vaccination Program started their journey to Cindakko Hamlet, Bontosomba Village, Tompobulu Subdistrict, Maros District, South Sulawesi. This location is one of the target areas for a program supported by the Australia Indonesia Health Security Partnership (AIHSP) because the vaccination coverage rate is quite low compared to the national rate. Research was conducted in early 2022 on the perspectives, acceptance and accessibility of COVID-19 vaccination, 3Ts (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment), and prevention of the coronavirus disease in the Indonesian province of Special Region of Yogyakarta. A collaboration between the Australia Indonesia Health Security Partnership (AIHSP) and Gadjah Mada University (UGM), this research delivered a number of findings on the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination among the province’s older residents.
